As the World Health Organisation declared that Ebola was no longer a public health emergency of international concern, a new case was confirmed in Liberia and experts warned that complacency was a threat to completing work on the vaccine. 

Discussion and celebration around India’s launch of rotavirus vaccine continued, and Pakistan indicated that it would also pursue the shot for its children

Liberia and Chad revealed the death toll of the ongoing measles outbreak, while others argued for the importance of vaccination for all countries regardless of current transmission. 

As the yellow fever outbreak spread in Angola, the Ministry of Health and international partners worked to vaccinate everyone older than 6 months in the country’s capital city.
