This week, @Vaccines is curated by Agnes Binagwaho, MD, M(Ped), PhD (@agnesbinagwaho). A Rwandan paediatrician, Professor Agnes is the Vice Chancellor of the University of Global Health Equity (@ughe_org) and former Minister of Health of Rwanda.

Having spent 14 years in senior-level positions within Rwanda’s health sector, Prof. Agnes is a health equity champion who contributed significantly to expanding national immunisation programming for all Rwandans. Now, as she leads the world’s first university committed to global health equity, she brings lessons learned about how thoughtful leadership and effective management can strengthen health systems and deliver life-saving vaccines to all, including the most vulnerable.

In tandem with Prof. Agnes’ Twitter takeover, UGHE will be co-hosting the week-long Expanded Programme on Immunisation Leadership and Management Programme (EPI LAMP) in Rwanda, in collaboration with Yale’s Global Health Leadership Institute, PATH, and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. Follow @Vaccines and #EPILAMP to hear from Prof. Agnes and fellow vaccine champions how this new collaboration will strengthen leadership and management skills of immunisation leaders in various Gavi-supported countries.
